The Brisbane Backpacker and Adventure Association is the
only organisation focused on issues involving budget accommodation providers, tour operators, attractions and services in Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
The group's goal is the ensure increased visitation to the Brisbane area and ensure members work together as a whole to achieve results and to work with government to obtain funding for the group.
The association was formed in 2002 and offers members:
- A avenue to voice concerns to local, state and federal government bodies
- An executive committee working on members behalf
- An employed (part time) Executive Officer
and Secretariat
- FULL membership to Backpacking Queensland - the state's main body
- Quarterly networking functions to meet with the executive committee and other members
- Group marketing initiatives such as trade shows, road shows and advertising
- Website listing on Backpackbrisbane.com website
Membership is $265 per annum (note this includes FULL membership to Backpacking Queensland, which on its own is worth over $200)
