Brisbane’s entertainment scene can mostly be divided between four main areas, each with an individual flavour.

Select an area on the map or from the area menu.

Main Entertainment Locations
The City
With its sports bars, backpacker venues, pubs, clubs and cinemas, the City caters to a fairly broad crowd. You’ll find various theme nights on during the week, with pubs and clubs busy all weekend.

The Valley & New Farm
The Valley, 1 kilometre north of the City, has the lion’s share of Brisbane’s nightclubs, bars and live music venues. With Chinatown on its border, the Valley is a diverse, festive and sometimes fashion conscious area with lots of good restaurants.

West End
Across the river from the City, bohemian West End has a village feel. Quirky cafes, restaurants, pool halls, cocktail bars and some interesting old pubs flank Boundary Street, which runs down its centre.

West End
Paddington
Just west of the City, Paddington caters to a party crowd. You’ll find most venues on Caxton Street and along Given Terrace including pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. Brisbane’s new Rugby/Football Super Stadium lives here so expect this area to be hopping whenever a big game is on!
